Purpose of Local Singles
Local Singles is a community-based social group designed to support meaningful human connection. Our offerings include friendships, social connection, networking, shared experiences, and optional matchmaking services. While some participants may be interested in dating or romantic relationships, Local Singles is not exclusively a dating or matchmaking service. Participation does not imply romantic intent, expectations, or outcomes.

 

Acceptance of Terms
By registering for, attending, or participating in any Local Singles event, service, or offering (“Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy (collectively, this “Agreement”). Local Singles reserves the right to update or modify this Agreement at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in Local Singles events or services. By participating, you confirm that the information you provide is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
 

Nature of Services
Local Singles provides:
In-person social events and gatherings
Opportunities to build friendships and community
Networking and shared-interest experiences
Optional introductions and matchmaking support
 

Photography and Media Release

By attending Local Singles events, you acknowledge and agree that photographs and/or video may be taken during events. These images may be used by Local Singles for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, website content, newsletters, and marketing materials.

If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify the host at the event. Local Singles will make reasonable efforts to respect your preference; however, we cannot guarantee exclusion from all images in public or group settings.

 

Local Singles does not guarantee:
Friendships, dates, matches, relationships, or outcomes.
Introductions to specific individuals.
Romantic or personal compatibility.
All participation and connections are voluntary.
 

Matchmaking Services (Optional)
Personalized matchmaking is an optional service, offered separately and by application or invitation. Participation in matchmaking consultations or payment of any related fees does not guarantee introductions, referrals, or acceptance into ongoing matchmaking services. Matchmaking is relational and intuitive, not transactional.

Participant Responsibilities
By participating in Local Singles, you agree to:
Engage respectfully and honestly.
Honor personal boundaries.
Take responsibility for your own interactions and choices.
Use good judgment when forming connections.
Local Singles does not mediate personal relationships, friendships, or disputes.

Prohibited Conduct
Participants agree not to:
Harass, intimidate, threaten, stalk, or discriminate against others.
Disrupt events or create an unsafe environment.
Use events for commercial solicitation or recruitment.
Disclose private or confidential information about other participants.
Make defamatory or harmful statements about Local Singles or its members.  Local Singles reserves the right to remove any participant at its sole discretion.

Confidentiality
Participants agree to respect the privacy of others and keep personal information shared through Local Singles confidential. This includes conversations, introductions, and event participation.
 

Limitation of Liability
Local Singles:
Does not conduct background or criminal checks.
Makes no representations about participants’ intentions, behavior, or background.
Is not responsible for the actions, conduct, or statements of participants.
You participate at your own risk. Local Singles is not liable for injuries, losses, emotional distress, disputes, or damages arising from participation.
 

Personal Safety
Participants agree to take reasonable precautions when interacting with others, including meeting in public places and safeguarding personal and financial information.
 

Fees and Refunds
Event donations, consultation fees, and service fees are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated in writing.

Intellectual Property
All content, branding, event formats, and materials associated with Local Singles are the property of Local Singles and may not be used without permission.
 

Termination
Local Singles reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation for violation of these Terms or conduct deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
 

Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico.
 

Acknowledgment
By participating in Local Singles events or services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
